Q1. My power adapter fits both the HP and Dell computer. Does it matter which one I use?

A1. YES! Plug in the power adapter first on the HP and then on the Dell. Notice only one of the computers charge with this power adapter. That is because power adapters are SPECIFIC to a hardware manufacturer or vendor.

Q2. When I plug in my computer, a message comes up on the screen saying my computer does not recognize the power source.

A2. See Q1 above… you are using a power adapter/plug from a vendor other than the one who made your computer. Find a different power adapter for this computer.

Q3. When I plug in my computer, a message comes up that the power adapter is not the one that came with the machine and it will take longer to charge.

A3. Today, in Haiti, this means that you are using a 65 watt power adapter, when your computer was designed for fast charging using a 90 watt power adapter. This is not a problem – but charging will be more efficient with the correct size power adapter.
